Walkway to the main goppuram (gate). You must visit the temple without shoes which is challenging considering the large courtyard is paved with local granite, VERY HOT.

One of the more fascinating features of these temples are the columns. They are solid stone and were turned on a lathe, a thousand years ago.

Once you are done drinking the coconut water they'll hack it open so you can snack on the meat. The texture is a bit rubbery but once you get used to it you'll enjoy.
